Know Which Roads in Nosara The Muni of Nicoya Will Repair

With the intention of being accountable to the Nosara community, the Mayor of Nicoya, Carlos Armando Martínez, together with the Deputy Mayor, María Acosta, offered a work report to the members of the Nosara Expanded District Council. 

 The session was held last Thursday, October 7th, at the Nosara music school. The trustee and the District Councilors were present there – as well as community leaders and representatives of Nosara organizations. The Nosara Civic Association is commitment to attend the sessions of the Council in order to contribute and inform the community about the progress of the projects developed by the Muni. 

 

During the meeting, the mayor was accompanied by Julio López, who is in charge of the Road Management Technical Unit , Josué Ruiz, municipal engineer, Gretel Sanchez, Social Promoter, Jorge Isaac Esquivel, Environmental Manager, and Andrés Matarrita, Risk Manager.   

 

According to a report presented by Julio López, this is the list of roads that will have maintenance during the month of November:

 

Plaza Nosara – Arenales

Budget: ¢ 1,125,000

 The report also indicates that the bridge over the La Esperanza stream in Las Delicias, ran out of budget; However, the bridge was included on September 27 in the extraordinary budget, so work should start soon.

 The person in charge of Road Management confirmed that this year, through the National Emergency Commission and the Municipality, the expansion and ballasting of the Zaragoza – San Juan Route was carried out. In addition, maintenance work was carried out on the Garza – Las Delicias route. 

 

And the construction?

Another report  presented at the meeting was from Josué Ruiz, Municipal engineer, who explained about the growth in construction in Nosara.

Ruiz explained that according to data from January to September 2021, Nosara was the Nicoya district that requested the most construction permits. During that period, permits were processed to build 40,929 m2.

The Municipality plans to receive 180 million colones for construction permits, of which an estimated 125 million colones come from the Nosara district.

 The engineer added that during this year 90 construction closures were carried out, due to not having the necessary permits or other anomalies. The official added that any Nosara neighbor can file anonymous complaints about illegal construction.
