For all of us who are part of the Nosara Civic Association family, on Sunday, December 12, it was a great joy to see how the Nosara community came together to race, walk and explore our trails and share the beautiful community we are.
Over 135 people signed up and over 105 ran. It was a hot day but the participants got to know parts of our trail network for the first time, much of it shaded!
The 5.5k Nosara Somos Todos race was an idea many years in the making that we now would like to do more than once a year.
We’d like to give thanks again to all our great sponsors! Without them none of this would have been possible. We want to thank Blue Zone Brewery and their beer tuk tuk who shared drinks for the attendees. To Jolana tinypixelweb.com who donated the registration form, to the Volunteer Firefighters of Nosara who were helping in case of an emergency, Jaii Hein who loaned us the speaker equipment, to Beach Blend Coffee who donated coffee and delicious sandwiches, to Harmony Hotel for donating fruits and prizes.
Also to Olo Alaia who supported us with volunteers and prizes, as well as Selina who helped us with prizes and to offer a water station. To all those who also donated the prizes, we want to give an infinite thanks such as: Lagarta Lodge, Olas Verdes, Lobo, El Circo Food Truck, La Luna, Coyol, Ganadería Toro Bravo Tours Garza, Secret Spot, Nosara Playhouse School (¡Miss Carrie!), Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort, Miss Sky Canopy and the Tennis Association that lent us the space for the closing of the race.
Lastly, we would like to thank BOBBI JOHNSON for all of her tireless work on behalf of many organizations and for the NCA. We were very happy to open the new Bobbi Johnson Trail that connects Pelada to Gabi’s Place (5 minute walk!) and to have had Bobbi present at the finish line of the race.
